Default How to Install PowerSDR (v1.19.3.15 SV1EIA) V2.0 + Downloads

NOTE: This is v1.19.3.15 (PSDR/IQ) developed by SV1EIA that features SoftRock I2C and TX connectivity. This IS NOT the FlexRadio alpha release of v2.0 that is not compatible with SoftRock/I2C.

PowerSDR V2.0 (PSDR) can be a little tricky to install because there are some prerequisites that need to be performed ahead of time...

Microsoft .NET 3.5 must be installed
Skins must be installed
Then the PSDR v2.0 software may be installed

Here are the files you'll need...
NOTE: These files are in the SDRbuzz member only download forum. Free registration is necessary for access. All files provided for members through the SDRbuzz download forum were, and continue to be scanned for virus and spyware/adware infections.

MS .NET 3.5 - Download Here...
PSDR V2.0 Skins - Download Here...
PSDR V2.0 - Download Here...
(May also be available at http://powersdr-iq.googlecode.com/fi...15%20Setup.msi)

If you installed PSDR V2.0 before the required prerequisites and see error messages, you'll need to uninstall it. In addition, you'll need to remove the XML database file created by your first attempt. That file is not deleted when uninstalling PSDR and may prevent subsequent installation attempts...
Delete C:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\Application Data\FlexRadio Systems\PowerSDR v1.19.3\Database.xml

Default About installing the skins...

There's been a little confusion about installing the PSDR v2.0 skins files. They come in a ZIP file if downloaded here. There are three executable files. You can run the executables directly from the ZIP file just by opening the ZIP and double clicking each of the skin files. They will automatically install where they need to go. There's nothing more that you will need to do.

V2.0 IS V1.19.3.15. Click the link in the first post in this thread above for the version you need for Softrocks...

Hi

How do I install .NET 3.5 SP1 in Win7? When I try, I get the information "Activate or deactivate Window functions" in the control panel to cofigure MS .NET - but this point does not exist in my Win7 control panel...???

Kind regards
OZ2BKK/Bjarke

Hi Bjarke. I don't think you need to install .NET 3.5 in Windows 7. An appropriate .NET is already included. If not, go to www.microsoft.com/net/download and find the download for Windows 7.

Hi KT6F

Thanks for the advice..!

My actual problem is an error message, when I launch the PowerSDR 1.19.3.15 IQ software.

I get this Fatal Error:

The index is out of the array range.
- at PowerSDR.Console.GetState()
- at PowerSDR.Console.InitConsole()
- at PowerSDR.Console..ctor(String[] args)
- at PowerSDR.Console.Main(String[] args)

I'm running on a Win7 Home Premium 64 bit system.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem?

Kind regards
OZ2BKK /Bjarke

I haven't seen those errors before. I'm not certain what to suggest other than to remove PSDR, the database.xml file, and the skins, and install again. Make sure you have admin rights [which you probably do since this is home addition].

Hi 2e0tat. My response to your question is the same as to one of the posts earlier in this thread...
